Fidel Alejandro Castro Ruz (born August 13, 1926) was the president and prime minister of Cuba from 1976 to 2008. He led the Cuban Revolution which overthrew the government of Fulgencio Batista. This is a list of places, buildings and other things named for Castro.
In Cuba
Because Castro has chosen not to create a cult of personality, inside Cuba there are no streets, buildings, institutions or localities named for him. There are no official photos of Castro.[1]

Por naturaleza, soy hostil a todo lo que pueda parecer un culto a la persona, y usted puede constatar, ya se lo he dicho, que en Cuba no hay una sola escuela, fábrica, hospital o edificio que lleve mi nombre. Ni hay estatuas, ni prácticamente retratos míos. Aquí no se producen retratos oficiales. Es posible que, en alguna oficina, alguien haya puesto una foto mía, pero es una iniciativa personal y en ningún caso se trata de un retrato oficial.
