Eluru (or Helapuri) is the 7th largest city in the state of Andhra Pradesh and largest city in West Godavari district. The city and its region contain natural features such as bank Kolleru lake and Tammileru which becomes into two parts near Eluru and Joins in Kolleru lake, are the landmarks in the city. Eco-tourism is supported by the presence of Bird sanctuaries.[1] The Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation is the state tourism department, responsible for maintaining, promoting and developing the tourism sector.

Landmarks

Landmarks in the city include Eluru Buddha Park, a 74feet statue located in the heart of the city, Janmabhoomi park and Brundhavan Gardens, maintained by Eluru Municipal Corporation. Wildlife tourism is available in the Kolleru lake. Religious tourism sites include the Dwarakatirumala and Lord Shiva Temple in Sanivarapupeta temples. Other nearby locations include Guntupalli Group of Buddhist Monuments and Kolleru Lake.[2]
