Lloyd Bryan Molander Adams born Lloyd Bryan Molander (born May 17, 1961) is an American documentary, television and feature film director and producer.

Education and teaching

Adams obtained a Bachelor of Science from San Diego State University. He earned a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law,[1] and also has a Masters Degree in Business Management from the National University.

Adams is an adjunct professor of Business and Law for Southern New Hampshire University,[2] and also previously taught at Westwood College[3] and Sierra Nevada College.

Career

Adams is the co-founder of the Extreme Sports Channel, which launched in 1999. He was formerly the senior executive in charge of Programming and Production, and the Executive Producer for the Outdoor Channel.[4][5] Adams helped launch Fuel TV, and served as its Executive Producer and Senior Consultant at the launch. He was the Executive Producer for Pro Elite, who's MMA events appeared on Showtime, CBS and HD Net.

Adams was the executive producer and co-creator of Scouting for Adventure, which was the Boy Scouts of America's first television series.[6] He was also appointed to executive produce another television show for them titled Scouting Around.[7][8]

Since 2002, Adams has been the founder, CEO and executive producer of Tenacity Entertainment, LLC and Tenacity Pictures, LLC located in Incline Village, Nevada. These companies are independent executive production houses.

Television series and specials

Films

Adams has directed and produced feature films, including The Outside and Left and Loose on the Lot, and also noted 35MM shorts "Neighbor Upstairs" and "News Junkie".[10]

Film festivals

Adams' film The Six Degrees of Helter Skelter was an official selection for "Best Documentary" at the Hollywood International Film Festival, and his "Helter Skelter" film was also an official selection for the Temecula Valley International Film Festival, the Burbank International Film Festival, the Big Bear Lake International Film Festival, the Lake Arrowhead Film Festival, and the Ava Gardner Independent Film Festival.[11]

Adams' feature film The Outside won acclaim when the film's lead actor Michael Graziadei won the "Best Actor" award at the Honolulu Film Festival. It was also an official selection for the festival and garnered a nomination there for "Best Film".[12]

Awards and honors

Adams was part of a team which was nominated in 2014 for a Mid-Atlantic Emmy Award for Six Hours,[13] a documentary on Typhoon Yolanda.

Professional organizations

Adams is a member of the Producers Guild of America[14] and the Academy of Television Arts and Science.[15] He is also a member of the American Film Institute and served on the Board of Directors at the Tahoe-Reno International Film Festival as the head coordinator in charge of the adventure film categories. Adams was also a senior vice president of the Perugia International Film Festival.

Adams is a member of the American Bar Association.[16]
