Logan Mulvey (born August 22, 1984) is the current CEO of GoDigital.[2][3] He oversees acquisitions, content operations, marketing, global product management, and the overall release strategy for all films serviced by the company.[2][4]

Mulvey is a frequent speaker at digital entertainment conferences, including Variety's BRIC Summit, Digital Hollywood, Variety's Film Finance Summit, and the New York Film Commission at the Sundance Film Festival.[2][5] In 2012, he was named one of The Hollywood Reporter's 35 under 35 in their annual Next Generation list.[3]

Early Years

Logan Mulvey was born in San Diego and grew up in Solana Beach, California. He attended Loyola Marymount University and received a BA in Communications with an emphasis in Rhetoric.[2]

Career

The Founding of GoDigital

While Mulvey attended Loyola in 2005, he co-founded GoDigital with Jason Peterson and Dave Lindsay.[6] GoDigital began as a music distribution service and Mulvey created campaigns for a variety of films and platinum selling artists.[7] At this point, he had produced music videos for top-selling artists such as Death Cab for Cutie, Lil' Romeo, Ashley Tisdale, Switchfoot, and Master P.[8][9] He also created marketing campaigns for dozens of award-winning films and platinum-selling artists as GoDigital's Chief Marketing Officer.[9]

As President

In September 2008, GoDigital announced the restructuring of their executive team, with Mulvey assuming the role of president.[8] He had realized as Chief Marketing Officer that CDs and DVDs would soon prove obsolete and that the emerging digital market had a strong future.[6] Under his direction, the company relaunched as a full-service distributor of premium, independent content to digital and Video on Demand (VOD) retailers.[10] After GoDigital's re-organization, Mulvey's responsibilities were expanded to include the oversight of GoDigital's content operations team, marketing initiatives, global product management and release strategies for both new and catalog titles,[8] orchestrating the distribution of feature film, television, and music content to hundreds of entertainment retailers including Netflix, iTunes, Hulu, and CinemaNow.[8]

Acquisition of Might Entertainment

In 2012, Mulvey coordinated the acquisition and merger of Might Entertainment, adding to GoDigital an expanded library and a VOD arrangement with Lionsgate.[11] Mulvey oversaw the acquisition of key digital rights to the 700+ title Kino/Lorber library,[11] a landmark event that more than tripled GoDigital's catalog of titles.[9] Shortly after, Preferred Ventures, a digital media venture fund made a notable investment to GoDigital.[12][13]

Recent Developments of GoDigital

In early 2014, Mulvey hired former Focus Features executive Kent Sanderson to be GoDigital's Executive Vice President of Distribution and Merchandising.[14] Trades noted this as a major move for Mulvey and GoDigital as Sanderson had worked on acquisition, distribution and marketing of Alex Gibney’s “We Steal Secrets: The Story of WikiLeaks,” “The Lifeguard” starring Kristen Bell, “C.O.G.,” “The World’s End,” “The Place Beyond the Pines,” and “Moonrise Kingdom” while at Focus.[15]

To date, GoDigital possesses a library of over 1,000 films and a wide range of genres including: foreign, documentary, horror, classical cinema, comedy, romance, film festival favorites, and more.[16][17]
