LoginRadius Inc. is an Edmonton-based technology company with a global customer base. It is a platform offering Social Login, User Registration, Social Sharing, User Data, Single Sign-On and Social Analytics to website owners and app developers.
The company currently supports 35 major social networking sites and was ranked as one of Canada’s top 25 up-and-coming ICT companies for 2014[1] by leading technology consultants, the Branham Group.
History
LoginRadius was founded in 2011 by school friends Rakesh Soni and Deepak Gupta, and financed with their own funds until the end of 2013.
Soni graduated from the University of Alberta in 2009 with an MSc in Engineering, having already studied at the Indian School of Mines in Dhanbad. Gupta finished his MS in Information Technology and Management from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago in 2008.
The pair launched LoginRadius after working on a couple of related product ideas. Having identified registration processes as a barrier to online user sign-up rates, Soni and Gupta launched LoginRadius, offering Social Login and a range of products and services to companies of all sizes across the globe.
Social Login allows users to register on websites using their existing social account IDs, such as Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, Google+ etc.
LoginRadius attracted the attention of Montreal-based FounderFuel,[2] a leading Canadian start-up accelerator specializing in innovative, next generation technology products and services.
The company graduated from the FounderFuel program and went on to achieve rapid growth throughout 2013, and now has additional offices in Silicon Valley (USA), Bangalore (India) and Jaipur (India) employing over 30 staff globally.
By early 2014, it had secured $1.3m in financing[3] from a syndicate of Canada’s leading venture capital firms: the Accelerate Fund, Yaletown Venture Partners, Real Ventures, and Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC).
The company is also backed by a number of angel investors and has received funding from the National Resource Council Canada’s Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC – IRAP) to continue developing innovative, business-focused, online platforms.
LoginRadius has strategic partnerships with industry leaders including Amazon,[4] Mozilla,[5] Microsoft, DynDNS, and RackSpace.
LoginRadius was named as one of Canada’s top 25 up-and-coming ICT companies for 2014 by the leading technology consultants the Branham Group. Companies listed by the Branham Group are selected based on creativity and innovation in new and existing technology areas.
Techvibes ranked LoginRadius in April 2014 as one of Canada’s top 20[6] hottest and most promising tech start-ups.
LoginRadius’ Platform
LoginRadius simplifies the registration process by offering Social Login and User Registration to web and mobile applications through a unified API. LoginRadius’ API combines over 35 major social platforms, such as Facebook, Google, and Twitter that allows users to log in with their social account, as well as offers a traditional user registration system.
The company offers the following products and services:
- Social login allows users to register on a site using their existing social account ID, eliminating the need for users to fill out registration forms and remember site-specific usernames and passwords.[7]
- User Registration allows you to offer your users a choice to sign-up through traditional registration or with Social Login.
- Single sign-on (SSO) enables users to navigate between multiple sites using a single identity.
- Social Account Linking lets users connect all of their social accounts to one identity across all company sites.
- User data is collected from users’ social profiles, and clients can access more than 200 data points.
- Social sharing simplifies how users share content from other sites.
- Social analytics provides insight into user demographics and online behavior
