Logone Occidental is one of the 22 regions of Chad and its capital is Moundou. It consists of the former Logone Occidental Prefecture.
Demography
The region's population had 455,140 inhabitants in 1993. This increased to 683,293 as of 2009.
The Ngambai ethnic group represent more than the 90% of the territory's population.
Economy
Subsistence agriculture, cotton.
