Lokanthali is small town in the border of Kathmandu and Bhaktapur. It lies in the Madhyapur Thimi Municipality. Population over here has increased rapidly. As of the 1991 Nepal census, it had a population of 5057, with 894 households.[1]

lokanthali is not under a VDC. rather, it is under madhyapur thimi municipality. Lokanthali was one of the best residential places in the KTM valley. But now; many of the intruders who entered kathmandu have started living in Lokanthali.
