Lolo is a 2015 French comedy film co-written and directed by Julie Delpy. It stars Delpy, Dany Boon, Vincent Lacoste and Karin Viard.[2] It had its premiere in the Venice Days section of the 72nd Venice International Film Festival.[3]
Plot
Violette, a 40-year old workaholic with a career in the fashion industry from Paris falls for a Biarritzi computer geek, Jean-Rene, while on a spa retreat with her best friend and promiscuous Ariane. Jean-Rene moves to Paris to be with Violette and is invited to her home. There he meets Violette's young adult son, Lolo. Lolo is a self-professed artist and his mother supports him profoundly. Lolo appears to be welcoming his mothers newfound love but unbeknownst to them, he tries to wreak havoc in their relationship. Lolo is a moocher and requires his mother's universe be around him. Lolo ups his game when nothing seems to break the couples relationship. He plants a virus in Jean newly coded software for bank, running the software on the buyer's system infects there whole network and Jean is arrested for this. He warns Violette all this mishaps is caused by Lolo and he has found Lolo's diary as evidence for it. Later at Lolo's drab art exhibition Ariane daughter reveals Lolo's string of activities to sabotage Violette's any love life and the same is conveyed to Violette by Ariane. Jean clears his name by fixing the trouble and gains tenure in his company. Violette confronts Lolo with the facts and Lolo tries to emotionally blackmail her. Violete finally cuts the emotional cord with Lolo and moves in with Jean. Lolo finds it hard to adjust with his new life without the presence of his mother. Later Violette realizes Jean-Rene inadvertently might be facing the same issue with his daughter Sabine as she did with her son.

Production
Filming began on 6 October 2014 and took place over two months in Paris, Biarritz and London.[4][5]
