London Kills Me
London Kills Me is a 1991 film written and directed by Hanif Kureshi and starred Justin Chadwick and Steven Mackintosh. Set in West London, it tells the tale of a group of homeless drugtakers and general losers with black humour; the portrayal of life on London's streets was sympathetic, if bleak. It was critically panned on release and a failure at the box office. It is nevertheless now considered an indie snapshot of early 1990s London. The film deals with a similar theme as Trainspotting (film) which released five years later.
