The long-winged harrier (Circus buffoni) is a species of bird of prey in the family Accipitridae, native to South America.
It is found in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Falkland Islands, French Guiana, Guyana, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, Uruguay, and Venezuela.
Its natural habitats are dry savanna, subtropical or tropical seasonally wet or flooded lowland grassland, swamps, and heavily degraded former forest.
