Long Beach, Newfoundland and Labrador
Long Beach was a settlement north east of Clarenville. The Post office first opened in 1889 and the first Postmaster was M.H. Vey. Some of the surnames that were residents of Long Beach were: Abbott, Fry, Harris, King and Quinton. In the early 1970s to approximately early 80s there were 3 or 4 families from Canada (Ontario) and the United States that lived there for a number of years.
