It talks of Kodagu's last Raja, the last war of the same region, the annexation of the princely state of Kodagu, the period of the British Raj in the province of Coorg (Kodagu), the freedom struggle in the region, the time of Independence of the Indian Union in 1947, the merger of Coorg with Mysore (both were among the 27 states of the Indian Union) and the Kannada regions of Hyderabad, Madras and Bombay during the States Re-organisation in 1956, and about the district of Kodagu (Coorg) in Karnataka, the present-day name of Vishala ('larger') Mysore.
