Loomer Road Stadium

Loomer Road Stadium is a sports stadium situated in Chesterton, Staffordshire. Today, it hosts mainly motorcycle speedway [1] and occasionally BriSCA Formula 1 Stock Cars and BriSCA Formula 2 Stock Cars, but in the past it has been the venue for greyhound racing. Recently, there have been calls for a return of this to the stadium, but as yet, there are no plans put in place.

The building has considerable parking facilities, covered terracing and a bar with a view of the track. It currently has a capacity of 5,000.

Events

The main function of the stadium is as the home stadium of two speedway teams; the Stoke Potters and the Stoke Spitfires, who race on Saturdays and Wednesdays respectively. In addition to this, the ground also hosts various events such as firework displays and occasional shows.
