Lophospingus is a genus of bird in the family Thraupidae. Established by Jean Cabanis in 1878, it contains the following species:[1]
- Grey-crested finch (Lophospingus griseocristatus)
- Black-crested finch (Lophospingus pusillus)
Sometimes classified in the bunting and American sparrow family Emberizidae, more recent studies have shown that these birds belongs in the tanager family.
