Lordswood F.C. is a football club based in Lordswood, which is a suburb of Chatham, England. They joined the Kent League in 1996 and are members of the renamed Southern Counties East League for the 2013–14 season.
History
Lordswood are one of the newer members of the Kent League, having joined in 1996, although the club was formed in 1968. In the 2005–06 season they enjoyed their best ever finish, despite having finished bottom of the league just a year earlier. Their best season was surpassed most recently in the 2012/13 season where a number of bests were achieved. A highest ever 5th-placed finish in the league was accompanied by finishing runners up in the Kent Senior Trophy, reaching the 4th round of the FA Vase (losing to eventual winners Spennymoor Town) and the semi final of the Kent League Cup.
Lordswood were formed in 1968 and played home games at Cliffe Woods for many years before acquiring a home at the Lordswood Sports and Social Club. The Club were successful in local leagues and made the jump to join the Kent County league around 1981. From here they progressed through the Leagues to eventually join the Senior Division and from there ultimately the Kent League.
