Lorenz Nikolai Achté

Lorenz Nikolai Achté (25 May 1835 in Pori - April 18, 1900 in Helsinki) was a Finnish opera singer, composer, bandleader and music teacher. He was a member of the Finnish opera theater department's first artists, together with his wife Emmy Achten. He established a cantor-organist school, Helsinki Church Music School, in Helsinki in 1882.[1]

His daughter Aino Ackté became a famous opera singer.
