Lorenzo Alejandro Laviosa Lopez

Lorenzo Alejandro Laviosa López, or Alejandro Laviosa (born June 30, 1977) known as "Copete" (lit. Tuft) is a Venezuelan-American businessmen currently requested by Dominican Republic authorities for arrest[1] in connection with Banco Peravia fraud for over $30 million which occurred between 2011 and 2014. Laviosa usually resided in the United States since he got his residency permit in 2007 but fled once his arrest order was issued by the Incumbent District Attorney for the Distrito Nacional, Atty. Yeni Berenice Reynoso as he was one of the collaborators to Jose Luis Santoro, the head of the fraud against Banco Peravia and the Dominican Republic. Laviosa was also found to have links to narco-trafficking in the Dominican Republic.[2]

Laviosa, alongside with Jose Luis Santoro are wanted by the Judicial Authorities of Dominican Republic for Prosecution with an Interpol Red Notice.[3]

Biography

Born in Maracay, Aragua on June 30, 1977 he never finished any studies probably because he was abandoned by his parents at a early age, so he decided to immigrate to the United States where he finally seek residency in 2007 and Citizenship in 2013. Laviosa adopted two sons from her wife, Maria Laviosa who lives in Doral, Florida. He is currently engaged to the Venezuelan model, actress and TV host Christina Dieckmann.

Previous Crimes Commited

Laviosa has also been previously convicted by Venezuelan authorities for extorting a 71 year-old lady and kidnapping his son briefly in 2010,[4] but was later released. He has also been defendant to several cases of Fraud, Extortion[5] and Domestic Violence with Fire Arm[6] in the United States and Fraud, Extortion, Use of False Documents among others in Colombia.
