Lost in Paradise is a 2D third person point and click adventure developed by Elev8 Games[1] for the iOS App[2] Store and Android[3] mobile markets, Apple Mac, Microsoft Windows and Linux desktop PC markets. It is reminiscent of the classic point and clicks from 90s but with photorealistic graphics, relaxing nature based animations and music, survival based puzzles, and periodic puzzle minigames.
Storyline and Game play
The storyline revolves around the player being a crew member of a suddenly and mysteriously capsized ship journeying through the notorious Bermuda Triangle, thus finding oneself being the sole survivor on a seemingly deserted island. While exploring the island, the player solves many puzzles and uses various hands on survival skills to solve problems in typical adventure game fashion, to uncover the island's past while building towards a final climax.
The unique selling point of the game is the real life application of the survival skills utilized in the game, such as making a knife, fishing pole, torch etc. in the wild, so there is a learning element to the game. In addition, the combination of a relaxing nature ambiance with the pensive stress-free game play of point and click adventures is another innovative part of the game's appeal. There is a standard fare of mini-puzzles integrated into the game, such as tile swap and rotation puzzles, sliding block puzzles, jigsaw style puzzles etc. to keep the player engaged, as well as some skill based action mini games.
