Louis III, Count of Looz

Louis III (d. May 15, 1243), Count of Rieneck and Count of Looz. He was the son of Gérard III, Count of Rieneck, and Cunegonde von Zimmern.

Upon the death of his father, he was too young to lead the county of Rieneck and it was his uncle Arnold III became count, and Louis III became Viscount of Mainz. Similarly, with the death of his uncle Louis II in 1218, it was his uncles Henry and Arnold III who succeeded him. He died childless.
