Louise Cliffe (born 9 December 1986) is a British actress, singer, writer, and model. Although much of her career has been in the UK, she started to appear in US productions as of 2009. She is best known for playing the role of "Sophie Delaney" in the horror film Wrong Turn 3: Left for Dead. She was a contestant on 2011 UK series of Big Brother. Louise is also known for winning Miss Manchester in 2006.

Early life

Cliffe, dubbed "Manchester's Kelly Brook",[1] was born in Middleton, Rochdale.[2] Cliffe attended Our Lady's' Catholic High School in Higher Blackley, where she was a talented athlete, becoming Manchester Hurdles Champion on three occasions. She still enjoys athletics and credits that as helping her keep her body in shape.

In 2006, Louise won Miss Manchester.[3]

Modeling career

As a model, Cliffe has done many magazine shoots and front covers including Maxim, Bizarre, Front, Loaded, FHM, OK!, Stuff, The Magazine, Zoo, Nuts, Ice, and Switched On.[4]

Cliffe is one of the original Candy Girls of the CandyCrib. Along with Kayleigh Pearson, Claire Andrisani, Natalie Oxley, Jerri Byrne, Hannah Joy Lewis, Jodie Nicholls, and Krystle Gohel, she spent most of 2005 living in the CandyCrib – a reality TV show featuring the UK's top glamour models.

Personal life

Cliffe was married to Jay McKray whom she met on the 2011 series of Big Brother UK. They married on 9 June 2012[5] but divorced after one year of marriage.[6]

Filmography

Cliffe first appeared on TV as a Soccer AM Manchester United Soccerette. She went on to appear in a cameo role in Britflick Charlie Noades R.I.P.,[7] 2009, Northstar Productions.[8] After which she landed a role in Wrong Turn 3,[9] Universal Studios. Her latest role came in the 2009 Syfy release Annihilation Earth, starring alongside Luke Goss.

Big Brother

On 9 September 2011, Cliffe entered the Big Brother House as the 14th Housemate on the inaugural Channel 5 series. On Day 2, she was given the nickname "Wonder Woman" by actress Pamela Anderson. Throughout the series, she was only nominated once (on 30 October 2011) and survived (4 November 2011), and, therefore, she made it into the final, placing fourth.

Discography

Cliffe recorded her first single in 2009, which was a collaborative effort with the Social Network and released on Green Garden Records. The piece is a social commentary of the faceless/only face nature of social dating, and Louise appears as five different characters in the video release.[10]
