Route description
Beginning at Monroe, through Eros, Chatham, Jonesboro, Liberty Hill, Bienville, Jamestown, Ringgold, to a point at or near Loggy Bayou. - 1924 Louisiana Legislative Route Description
LA 13 began at an intersection with US 71/LA 10 and traveled through the hills of Bienville Parish. It met LA 90 in the town of Ringgold before meeting LA 66 in Jamestown and LA 12 in the parish seat.
East of Bienville, LA 13 crossed into Jackson Parish, meeting US 167/LA 5 in Jonesville, with the older segment of LA 5 becoming LA 5-D. LA 13 followed the hilly terrain to the town of Chatham, where LA 13 met LA 17. LA 13 then entered Ouachita Parish and ended shortly at US 80/LA 4.
