"Love Walks In" is a rock song written by the group Van Halen for its 1986 album 5150. It is one of the five singles issued for the album.
The song starts with Eddie Van Halen (lead guitar, keyboards) playing a slow synth, and kicks into the song. The song starts in the key of C and moves into F for the band entrance, then going to the relative Dm for the verses. The pre-chorus then jumps to Am, then in the chorus it goes back to C, keeping a cyclic structure. It charted at #4 on the US Album Rock Tracks and at #22 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Sammy Hagar takes lead guitar on the live version of the recording but Edward plays on the record.
