The music features home-made cigar box guitars and primitive, minimal percussion. The Low-Country Messiahs made their live debut in 2004 as the opening act for Seekonk. Other appearances have included supporting Ditty Bops and Blanche. The group has released two albums on the Pincushion Star label.
