The forest railway was opened in 1947, and has a total length of 200 kilometres (120 mi) is currently operational, the track gauge is 750 mm (2 ft 5 12 in) and operates year-round.[1]

Current status

The Loyginskaya forestry railway first line narrow gauge railway emerged in the 1947, in the area of Ustyansky District, Arkhangelsk Oblast from the village Loyga. The total length of Loyginskaya narrow gauge railway at the peak of its development exceeded 308 kilometres (191 mi), of which 200 kilometres (120 mi) is currently operational. The narrow gauge railway operates a scheduled freight services from Loyga is used for forestry tasks for transportation of felled logs and forestry workers.[2] In 2014 was built railway bridge over the river Porsha.[3]
