The Air Defence Regiment (Swedish: Luftvärnsregementet (Lv 6)), formerly Göta luftvärnskår (Lv 6), is the only air defence regiment in the Swedish Armed Forces. Its new organisation was introduced in 2000, when all other air defence units in Sweden were disbanded. The regiment is located in Halmstad and has the responsibility for training two air defence battalions and one home guard battalion.[1][2][3]
Organisation
The regiment has the following organisation:
- Two air defence battalions equipped with Robotsystem 70 and Robotsystem 97.
- Livkompaniet, which trains new recruits in basic military training (GMU in Swedish).
- Luftvärnetsstridskola (Air Defence Combat School), which trains officers (KMU in Swedish).
- 70 Company, 97/23 Company, Management Company and the Logistics Company.
- Hallands group which trains one home guard battalion; 45th Battalion, a light infantry unit.
