Luftwaffe Honor plate
Luftwaffe Honor plate was an award for outstanding combat performance given by the Luftwaffe (German Air Force) during the Second World War. It was introduced on 15 June 1942 by the Reich Minister of Aviation and head of the Luftwaffe, Hermann Göring.[1] It was awarded to members of the Luftwaffe field army units as a counterpart to the honor of flying. About 50 were awarded, the exact number is unknown.
