Lugansk (Ukrainian: Луганськ; Russian: Луганск) is a junction railway station in Lugansk, Ukraine.
History
The history of the station began in 1878 with the opening ceremony of the Donetsk coal railway, the which covered 389 miles, crossing open areas such as Nikitovka–Debaltseve–Dolzhansky, Debaltseve, Popasnaya–Kramatorsk and Donetsk–Lugansk, which came to Lugansk from the Southwest.[2]
The Donetsk Railway was managed from Lugansk until 1934, when the office moved to Donetsk.[3]
Trains
Because of The War in Donbass,[4] all the far trains stopped and only 2 trains, operated by the Lugansk People's Republic, continue to terminate at the station:
- Yasinovataya – Lugansk (via Donetsk)
- Lugansk – Manuilovka (3 times a day)
