Luigi Contratto

Luigi Contratto (1892–1984) was an Italian soldier who, during the World War I, received the honour of Knight of Vittorio Veneto from King Victor Emmanuel III of Italy in person. He participated at the defeat of Caporetto and after an upset resistance he was hurt to a shoulder and a leg and came made captive of the Austrians, but it came freed from allies in 1918.

In World War II, he did not participate actively because war invalid, but fought as a partisan in Piedmont.
