Luke Thilthorpe (born 4 November 1981) is an Australian ice hockey player who played for the Adelaide Avalanche and Adelaide Adrenaline in the Australian Ice Hockey League between 2004 and 2011 and is a former member of the Australian national ice hockey team.

Playing career

Thilthorpe first played ice hockey in 2000 for the Blackhawks of the South Australia state leagues.[1] In 2004 he joined the Adelaide Avalanche of the Australian Ice Hockey League (AIHL), playing 14 games in his first season and recording seven points.[2] Thilthorpe continued to play for the Avalanche until end of the 2007 AIHL season. In 2009 Thilthorpe returned to ice hockey after a years break, he joined the Adelaide Adrenaline of the AIHL.[2] The Adrenaline went on to win the Goodall Cup, the playoff series of the AIHL.[3] In 2010 he took another break from ice hockey. For the start of the 2011 AIHL season Thilthorpe rejoined the Adrenaline roster.[4]

Thilthorpe was first called up to represent Australia in 2000 where he joined the national under-20 team to compete in the 2000 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships Pool D tournament.[1] In 2002 he moved up to the national senior team to compete in the 2002 IIHF World Championship Division II Group A tournament.[5] In 2011 Thilthorpe represented the Australian national team for the fifth time at the Ice Hockey World Championships.[2]

Thilthorpe was born on 4 November 1981 in Adelaide, South Australia, Australia.[2]
