This is a Chinese name; the family name is Lun.
Lun Zhi (died 238) was an advisor to the warlord Gongsun Yuan during the Three Kingdoms period of Chinese history. Lun ended up being executed for criticizing Gongsun Yuan's plan to rebel against the state of Cao Wei. Lun's descendants were granted titles of nobility by the Cao Wei general Sima Yi after he pacified Liaodong.
