Lynne Talley
Lynne Talley (born May 18, 1954 in Schenectady, New York) is an American physical oceanographer.
Talley is Professor of Physical Oceanography at Scripps Institution of Oceanography.[1] She is a seagoing oceanographer[2] and served as chief scientist on several hydrography cruises. From 2004–2007 she was a member of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change Working Group and a lead author for one of the chapters of the group's final report.[3] Talley is a Fellow of the American Meteorological Society, the American Geophysical Union, and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
