Lynnwood station
Lynnwood is a proposed station on Sound Transit's Link Light Rail system. It will be the terminus of the Lynnwood Link Extension, which is planned to run from Northgate Station in Seattle along Interstate 5 to Lynnwood. The station will be located at the current Lynnwood Transit Center, a major bus station and park and ride served by Community Transit and Sound Transit Express buses. The Link extension was approved in 2008 as part of the Sound Transit 2 ballot measure and is scheduled to begin construction in 2018 and open in 2023.[1] Improvements to the existing park and ride include a 1,900-stall parking garage and additional bus transfer space. The Lynnwood park and ride opened in 1981 as a 808-stall lot served primarily by King County Metro commuter buses to Downtown Seattle contracted by Community Transit.[2]
