ME Productions /ˈɛmiː/ is a full-service privately held company which offers special event services to businesses and individuals. Nearly 90% of the company’s business derives from the corporate sector.[1]
ME Productions is headquartered in Pembroke Park, Florida with offices operating in Orlando and Tampa. Though known for its local and regional services throughout the state of Florida, ME Productions also manages meetings and events worldwide.
History
Founder, Hal Etkin, was a top record producer, orchestra leader, performer in New York City and founder of Steven Scott Music before creating Multi-Entertainment in 1977. The business at first was established to provide entertainers for major venues and for corporate events. The business grew dramatically and in 1980, Hal’s son, Jim, left his position as a CPA for Deloitte and Touche, to join the company.
During the early 80s, a need for more elaborate and more involved productions created a need for the company to add décor, lighting, event production and business theater to its services as the industry and party tastes evolved.
The late 80s saw continued growth for the company with the addition of destination management, floral, and premium departments. In 1990 the official name of the company changed from Multi-Entertainment to ME Productions in order to reflect the added products and expanded service lines.
ME Productions has evolved into an all encompassing event planning, production, and destination management company.
Service
ME Productions currently offers meeting and event management, destination management services, décor, florals, gifts and premiums, entertainment, and sound/lighting/special effects. A motto often seen in its promotions is “All under one roof!” referring to the fact that ME Productions houses of all its departments in its 40,000 square warehouse and offices without the need for sub-contracting, which often hampers the logistics, budget or timing of an event. This can be seen as a convenience, as well as cost savings and a personal touch for the client.
