MV Tere Moana, previously Le Levant, is a cruise ship owned and operated by Paul Gauguin Cruises. The ship was built at the Alstom Leroux shipyard in St. Malo, France in 1998.
History
The ship was originally built in 1998. She operated with Compagnie du Ponant as Le Levant until December 2012 when she was refurbished and transferred to Paul Gauguin Cruises. She now specialises in European, Caribbean, and Latin American cruises.[1]
In June 2015 Paul Gauguin Cruises announced that the Tere Moana is being sold to Grand Circle Cruises. PG Cruises will continue to operate the ship through May 2016. [2]
The name Tere Moana translates into Ocean Traveller in Tahitian.[3]
Facilities
The Tere Moana has two restaurants, the Le Veranda and the L'Etoile, the Le Salon bar for live piano music and the pool bar. She also features the Deep Nature Spa, a fitness center, a swimming pool and the Le Boutique shop.[4]
The ship also hosts watersports in certain ports from the ship’s marina. Snorkel gear is also available to the passengers.
