Story
Maître Pierre is a French song that was sung by many French singers and accordionists.
In 1949, Jean Marco recorded the song with Jacques Hélian and his Orchestra like C'est si bon which was recorded a year earlier and the music was also composed by Henri Betti.
In 1951, Mitchell Parish wrote the English lyrics for the recording of the song by The Andrews Sisters with Gordon Jenkins and his Orchestra. The title song became The Windmill Song.
In 1953, the music of this song is used in the film His Father's Portrait where the music of C'est si bon is also used. These two songs are the two biggest hits of Henri Betti.
