Maalaiyitta Mangai 1958 Tamil film was directed by G. R. Nathan and Produced by Kannadasan under his brother's own productions company ALS Productions. Music by Viswanathan-Ramamoorthy assets to the film.[1][2] The film starring T. R. Mahalingam, Pandari Bai, Mynavathi lead role with Manorama, Kaka Radhakrishnan and C. Lakshmi Rajyam played portraying supporting role. An Versatile actress Manorama's[3][4] debut to the film.[5]

Music composed by Viswanathan-Ramamoorthy and lyrics were written by Kannadasan. The Playback singers consists of T. R. Mahalingam,[6] K. Jamuna Rani, P. Suseela, A. P. Komala and M. S. Rajeswari.[7][8][9] The film had ever green melody son Senthamizh Thenmozhiyaal Nilavena Sirukkum song become hit sung by T. R. Mahalingam and danced by Mynavathi.
