Pacific gulls nest on the island
Maclean Island is a small island, with an area of 1.11 ha, is part of the Waterhouse Island Group, lying close to the north-eastern coast of Tasmania.[1]
Fauna
Recorded breeding seabird species are the little penguin and Pacific gull. The Cape Barren goose has also nested on the island.[1]
