Macroglossum alcedo is a moth of the Sphingidae family. It is known from Tanimbar, the Kai Islands, Aru, Papua New Guinea and Queensland.[2]
Adults have brown patterned forewings and smaller yellow hindwings with a wide dark brown margin.[3]
