Mad Hatter (bank robber)
James Madison (born 1956/57) was the Mad Hatter who robbed 17 banks while wearing a variety of hats. He was apprehended on July 17, 2007, in Newark, New Jersey, USA, shortly after police tracked his car license plates.[1] His modus operandi was to wear a different hat for each robbery.[2]
