Madduvalasa is a village in Vangara mandal of Srikakulam district, Andhra Pradesh, India.[1]
Madduvalasa Reservoir
Madduvalasa Reservoir has been built on Vegavati and Suvarnamukhi rivers, subsidiaries of Nagavali River at Madduvalasa. It was commissioned in the year 1977. About 15,000 acres of land was brought under cultivation with the water.[2]
The seven villages, i.e. Patuvardhanam, Devikiwada, Chinna Devikiwada, CBR Peta, Nukalavada, Narendrapuram and Gitanapalli comprising about 2,240 families, were adjacent to the Full Reservoir Level (FRL). They were identified for rehabilitation package involving an expenditure of Rs. 27 cores.[3]
