Maher Udda

Maher Udda (also Maher Ouda) (born 1963) is a Palestinian militant suspected of planning suicide bombings in Israel.[1]

Udda is a top Hamas commander. On March 15, 2010 he was arrested by the Israel Defense Forces and Shin Bet in a joint operation which caught him by surprise.[2] Hamas claimed that the Palestinian Authority was involved in helping Israel arrest Udda.[3] The Israeli military described at the time of his arrest as one of the founders of Hamas.[3]

Udda is suspected of planning the 2003 Café Hillel bombing.[1]
