Mahishadal Girls College, established in 1969,^[1] is the only women's college in Purba Medinipur district. It offers undergraduate courses in arts and sciences. It is affiliated to Vidyasagar University.^[2]

Accreditation

The college is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).^[1] It was accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), and awarded B grade, an accreditation that has since then expired.^[3]
