Mahnaz Fatima

Dr. Mahnaz Fatima (Urdu: مہناز فاطمہ), is a professor (primarily) of corporate strategy and business policy at the Institute of Business Administration, Karachi.[1] Twice awarded the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan's 'Best Teacher' award, Dr. Fatima is considered amongst the most respected professors in Pakistan

An alumnus of the NED University of Engineering and Technology Karachi, the IBA and the Northern Illinois University, USA, Dr. Fatima has been associated with teaching for 21 years. She was the recipient of the MBA Gold medal from the IBA (1983) and of the Gerald Maryanov Fellow Award from Northern Illinois University (1991). Dr. Fatima has served on the board of governors of the IBA.

Books and publications

Dr. Fatima is the co-author of three books, almost 40 research papers in publications of international and national repute, and of over 400 articles in leading newspapers on the subjects of corporate strategy, economic development, quality management and public and social policy.

Fatima argues that terrorism and violence are often the result of extreme poverty. She is also critical of sexism and discrimination against women.[2]
