Majalgaon city is the Taluka headquarters.

Majalgaon was earlier administered by Mr. Prakash Solanke for 15 years as the constituency's MLA. He did work effectively at the beginning of his term, but the consistency started to lack as the years passed by, and thus the people of the constituency were fed up and decided to vote against him in the recent election. Which eventually led to Solanke's defeat by a high margin of votes. Current MLA Mr. R. T. Deshmukh who won the election has a clean image and is more of a common man who understands constituency's people's needs and wants. Presently he runs a corruption free, clean and effective government for Majalgaon in terms of development of the constituency.

Notable people from this village are Govindrao Dak, elected for the Majalgaon Consitancy in 1985. Ashokrao Dak is the current president of Beed district nationalist party of congress.
