Mamaqucha (Quechua mama mother / madam / qucha lake, mama qucha ocean,[2] Mama Qucha, a figure of the Inca mythology, hispanicized spelling Mamacocha) or Yanaqucha (Quechua for "black lake", hispanicized Yanacocha) is a lake in Peru located in the Cajamarca Region, Cajamarca Province, Encañada District.[3] Mamaqucha lies southeast of the lake Millpu (Millpo).
