ManTech International Corporation was co-founded in 1968 by George J. Pedersen.[2] The company uses advanced technology to help government and industry meet some of their greatest challenges and succeed in their most important endeavors.[3] ManTech has technology expertise, and applies knowledge of different technologies to manage and protect information, support and maintain critical systems, and develop integrated systems to handle complex needs. History

ManTech has grown to become one of the U.S. government’s leading providers of technologies for national security programs supporting the United States Intelligence Community and Departments of Defense, State, Homeland Security, Energy, and Justice; the Space Community; and other government agencies.[3] ManTech specializes in cyber security; healthcare; information technology; intelligence & counterintelligence; systems engineering; test & evaluation; mission assurance; environmental planning, sustainability & regulatory compliance; C4ISR lifecycle; and global logistics.[3] ManTech has supported the telecommunications use in Operation Iraqi Freedom. ManTech's corporate headquarters is located in Fairfax, Virginia.[4] ManTech has a global reach with offices in 19 U.S. states, and employees positioned in over 20 countries.[3] ManTech has approximately 8,000 employees and supports more than 50 different government agencies under 1,100 active contracts.[5] Revenues have increased from $431 million in 2001 to $1.77 billion in 2014.[6]

Acquisitions

Knowledge Consulting Group

On June 16, 2015, ManTech International Corporation completed the acquisition of Knowledge Consulting Group (KCG), a rapidly growing cyber security advisor in both the public and private sectors focused on anticipating threats and implementing defensive countermeasures.[7]

Welkin

On April 28, 2015, ManTech International Corporation completed the acquisition of Welkin Associates, Ltd., formerly a wholly owned subsidiary of CSC.[8]

7Delta

On May 27, 2014, ManTech International Corporation completed the acquisition of 7Delta, Inc., a progressive company performing applications and software development, program management, systems integration, information assurance, and security architecture services primarily within the healthcare community at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).[9]

Allied Technology Group

On February 19, 2014, ManTech International Corporation completed the acquisition of Allied Technology Group, Inc., an innovative engineering and information management solutions company with strong customer relationships and strategic contracts with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).[10]

ALTA Systems

On January 9, 2013, ManTech International Corporation completed the acquisition of ALTA Systems, Inc. of Fairfax, Va., an Information Technology (IT) and professional services company with valuable applications in healthcare systems and capital planning.[11]

HBGary

On February 29, 2012, ManTech International Corporation announced its purchase of HBGary, Inc.[12] Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed other than to say it was an "asset purchase", which excludes legal and financial liabilities.[12]

Notable contracts

ManTech supports critical and national security programs through 1,100 current contract vehicles, including IDIQs, fixed-price, cost-reimbursement, labor-hour, and time-and-materials, and many others.[13]

ManTech corporation received a contract to support the US Army in southwest Asia, Iraq and Afghanistan, as lead subcontractor to the VSE corporation. Some of the services ordered under the contract include: employed sustainment management; deployed logistics and repairs management; unique system training and curriculum support; and resource management, acquisition and administrative support for unique and specialized systems. The company’s specialization in communications and technology equipment is helpful to the ground and air soldiers of the US. ManTech’s workers are often placed inside the units of troops which they support.[14]

ManTech corporation received a contract in the Q4 2006 to support mine-clearing and other systems for the U.S. Army in Iraq, Afghanistan and Kuwait. ManTech will provide services as ordered under the task including deployed sustainment management; deploy logistics and repairs management; unique system training and curriculum support; and resource management and acquisition. These services will be provided in southwest Asia, mainly Iraq and Afghanistan.[15]
