Manchu shamanism

Manchu Shamanism is a religion of Manchu people in China. Manchu shamans believe that all the spirits they sacrifice to are the original clans' spirits, and they practice ancestor veneration.[1] The shaman dances in a trance to cure the sick.[2] Manchu Shamanism has declined,[3] and many Manchus are now Buddhists.[4] There is Confucian influence on Manchus.[5] Manchus in Banner garrisons also worshiped the local deities of the Han people.
