Emmanuel “Manny” Cohen (born 2 August 1957) is a British businessman, best known as a pioneer in the business information and corporate registrations industry. He is a chairman of The Raymond Morris Group, which includes RM Company Services Limited, a UK law firm.
Early years
Cohen was born in Pune (formerly known as Poona), India. He spent his first two years touring India with his parents.
His father, Lieutenant Colonel Maurice Cohen, was an British and Indian Army Officer (Signal Corps) under British India and did active service in World War II in Burma. He captained the Rest of the world Cricket Team in 1945 (having played for India before the war). Fought with the Indian Army in Kashmir, and wrote the book, Thunder Over Kashmir.
His mother, Violet Cohen (nee Daniel), was a couture dress designer and also specialized in children wear in Bond Street, London where she tailored for members of the Royal Family. She later joined her husband and son in RM Group until her retirement.
Cohen left India at the age of three with his parents and brother, Nissim Cohen. During his teenage years he joined the Air Cadets at 393 Squadron in Finchley and was active in sports. He was educated at the Hasmonean High School in Hendon, and after joined the family business. He became a glider pilot and instructor with 618 gliding squadron. And an RAF Reserve officer raising to the rank of Flight Lieutenant. He was commanding officer of 406 Willesdon Squadron from 1981 to 1986 and 2461 Sawton Squadron air cadet between 1987 and 1993.

Business approach
Emmanuel Cohen has been an entrepreneur and innovator for over 30 years. He started in 1977 as a researcher of Company & Government records and is currently Chairman of the RM Group, owner of the company information and anti-money laundering database aRMadillo - the first commercial company database on the web, which he was instrumental in personally funding, conceiving and launching. It now covers 250 million companies in 200 countries RM is also a major supplier of UK and International company registrations as well as trusts and foundations.
Cohen is also a former director of ACRA (the Association of Company Registration Agents), a former Royal Air Force reserve officer (Flight Lieutenant), a Freeman of the City of London, a member of the Woolmans livery and a long time supporter of the Company Secretarial Professional Practice Group also in The City of London. He is also a former Chairman of Arlesey Town Football Club – an English semi- professional football club
Cohen is also director of The British Bobsleigh Association (he had been Britain's Top No1 amateur bobsleigh driver 2008 - 2011). He is also a member of the Royal Television Society and a finalist in the 2009 Hertfordshire business person of the year.
RM group - online offerings
The RM Group originally started as researchers of corporate records and now own and operate the online web based system, aRMadillo®. Available through the web, aRMadillo provides credit reports on over 220 million companies in 190 countries. Launched in June 1997, it was the first online data system fully committed to web delivery in the world. Complemented by a specialist research team, clients can also receive official company documents in a hard copy form from over 1000 registries worldwide, as well as in certified, legalised or Apostilled formats. RM also launched the world's first company credit report app in 2011, allowing users the opportunity to download information straight to their smart phones. RM's latest offering is a web based company formation system, e-Incorp, allows UK Limited, Public Limited Companies and Limited Liability Partnerships (LLPs) to be incorporated online within minutes.
Speaker
Cohen is a highly respected speaker at conferences around the world talking on subjects as diverse as "Big Data and Little Data 'The 2006 UK Companies Act', 'the European third directive on money laundering'. He is now classed as an expert on business information, international corporations and registrations, brand protection and registration and anti-money laundering rules and compliance, all subjects that he speaks on.

Personal
Emmanuel Cohen was chairman of Arlesey Town F.C., a Southern Football League side, which has won a clutch of six awards plus the championship, league cup and got promoted, all in 48 months on one of the lowest budgets in the Division.[5][6][7]
He says on his linkedIn page: “My family means the world to me”. Cohen is also a former Royal Air Force reserve officer (Flight Lieutenant), a Freeman of the City of London and member of the Woolmans livery.
