Manoj Guinness, is an Indian film actor and mimicry artist in Malayalam films.
Personal life
Manoj hails from Ernakulam, Kerala. Manoj did his schooling from Govt High School Ambalamugal ad Gateway High School. Manoj completed his college education from Al-Ameen College Edathala Aluva. During his school and college days, Manoj performed Mimicry on stage. He has three siblings.[1] His younger brother Ajith appeared in ‘Elayanila’ and ‘Minnale’ aired in Jeevan TV. Ajith worked as scriptwriter for the film ‘Money Ratnam’ which had Fahad Faasil in lead role.[2]
Film and Television career
Manoj started his career as a mimicry artist in Cochin Century. He later shifted to Cochin Guiness, a popular mimicry troupe. Manoj was blessed to appear in various shows conducted across the state.[3] Few years later, Manoj started his own troupe named ‘Navodaya’. He appeared in ‘Cinemala’ imitating Kerala politician V S Acthuthanadan. He was the writer of the famous TV shows Cinemala and Onathinidakk Poottukachavadom.[4] He gained huge popularity after his stage show Eastern Super Comedy show-98 with Co star K.S.Prasad. He is known as one of the finest artist in terms of his timings and innovative comedy performances. He is the first person to imitate V.S.Achuthanandan in a stage show. He is one of the most finest comedian in the Malayalam film and serial industry. He performed in the stages almost all around the world. His notable performance are Eastern Super comedy show, Margin free comedy show, Guinness comedy show in USA, Time pass comedy show, Time machine comedy show and Cinemala. Manoj anchored ‘Comedy Capsule’, a live comedy show on Jeevan TV. During the while, Manoj acted in films like ‘Mazhathulli Kilukkam’, ‘Nasrani’, ‘Chocolate’ and Azhakadal’. It was ‘Badayi Bungalow’, modelled on the show ‘Comedy Nights with Kapil’ directed by Diana Silvester which gave him more recognition and fame. He played a character role in the film ‘My God’ directed by M Mohan.[5] He is currently performing a lead role in the TV show Badayi Bangalaw (2014). [6][7][8] [9][10]
