MapKing

MapKing is an automotive navigation systems and mapping software company, with headquarters in Hong Kong. Its products include both stand-alone units, web map solution, software for personal digital assistants, and mobile telephones. The company also has offices in mainland China, Malaysia, and Singapore.

The company provides routing maps for China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Taiwan, Tokyo, Vietnam and other Asian countries, on various platforms.

2013, MapKing awarded "Special Mention LBS, Hong Kong ICT 2013 "

2013, MapKing awarded "Best Mobile App (Infotainment) Bronze Award at Hong Kong ICT 2013",

2013, Tencent Weibo (The QQ company) partner with MapKing for Live Traffic.

2011, Intel partnered with MapKing for "Internet Car" shows in China.

2010, MapKing was selected as Asia project partner of HTAS, the intelligent traffic research institute of the Netherlands.

2007, MapKing launched the first Real Time Traffic GPS Navigation version in South East Asia in Singapore.

2002, MapKing navigation software for PDA was first launched in end 2002 with Hong Kong map and expands to more than 80 maps in Asia, the largest collection of navigation map in the region.

1996, the company was formed in Hong Kong, it was first a home office of the founder and then started in a small room near the Golden Computer Centre, which sold both genuine IT products and illegally copied software.
